Classroom Grants

Frederick County Public Schools provide an excellent education to our students. However, with declining federal and state resources, tax dollars only go so far. The Foundation is able to provide students with opportunities beyond classroom necessities.

Since the 2011 school year, the Foundation has awarded over $350,000 in classroom and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) grants. These grants are made available to all of Frederick County’s Elementary, Middle and High Schools, as well as to Northwestern Regional Education Programs and Dowell J. Howard Center. The grants are made possible through the generosity of individuals and organizations and through the Foundation’s fund-raising efforts. The Foundation's mission is to " Fund Innovative Educational Experiences That Foster Student Achievement."
